A Love That Shone Through
Julia and Ian’s wedding was a true celebration of their love — and it was honestly such a pleasure to bring their floral dreams to life. From the first time they got in touch, we could tell how special this couple was. Their connection was undeniable, and we couldn’t wait to create something beautiful for them that reflected the warmth and joy they shared.

Creating the Vision: Lush Florals for a Timeless Church Wedding
Julia and Ian had a clear vision from the start: they wanted florals that felt fresh, full of life, and romantic, but still classy enough to match the beautiful, traditional church ceremony. They had a gorgeous colour palette of lilacs and purples, which Julia had kindly sent over with swatches — and wow, what a beautiful set of colours to work with!
We kept everything true to their classic style but with a modern twist. It was all about creating timeless, elegant shapes and designs that still felt fresh and full of life.
The Florals: A Beautiful Mix of Romance & Elegance
Julia’s bouquet was one of our favourites to make. We used a stunning combination of florals to create a bouquet that stood out while still feeling like it belonged with the bridesmaids. The mix included:
The Bride’s Bouquet
- Rose Ocean Song
- White Freesia
- Dill
- Purple Matthiola Incana (stock flower)
- Astrantia Major
- Lilac Campanula (Canterbury bells)
- Lilac Peony
- Purple Orchid
- Hydrangea Amatista (pink)
- White Waxflower
- Eucalyptus Populus
- Willow Eucalyptus
- Soft Ruscus
These florals created the perfect mix of romance, elegance, and a touch of modernity — just what Julia had envisioned. The colours worked beautifully together, and the classic shape gave it a timeless feel, but with that fresh, lively vibe that we loved.
Bridesmaid’s Bouquets
For the bridesmaids, we kept the florals delicate and complementary to Julia’s bouquet, but with slightly lighter tones. Their bouquets included:
- White Roses
- White Peony
- White Lisianthus
- Dill
- White Freesia
- Rose Ocean Song
- White Lisianthus
This ensured that Julia’s bouquet took centre stage, while the bridesmaids still had their own beautiful, yet subtle, florals to add to the magic.

Buttonholes
To complement Julia’s stunning bouquet, Ian’s buttonhole featured:
- Rose Ocean Song
- Soft Ruscus
- Waxflower
- Astrantia Major
- Hydrangea Petals
For the groomsmen, we designed buttonholes with a slightly lighter feel, using:
- White Spray Rose
- Soft Ruscus
- Waxflower
- Astrantia Major
These buttonholes were the perfect balance, tying in beautifully with the florals for the bridal party while still feeling distinctive for each role.
The Wedding Breakfast: Pure Floral Magic
Julia and Ian wanted their reception florals to feel just as dreamy as their ceremony. They were keen on having florals in the venue that were full of life and colour, so we designed round, whimsical bouquets set in fishbowls for the wedding breakfast tables. It was simple yet so effective, bringing a burst of colour and a fresh, romantic feel to the beautiful Grove Ferry Inn (based near Canterbury, Kent). The flowers really brought the whole room to life!
A Seamless Experience at Grove Ferry Inn
Grove Ferry Inn was an absolute dream to work with. The venue is gorgeous, with a lovely, relaxed vibe that perfectly matched Julia and Ian’s style. The team there couldn’t have been more accommodating when we dropped off the florals — they made sure everything was perfectly placed, so we knew it was going to look amazing on the day.
Stunning Photos to Capture It All
A huge shout-out to the incredibly talented David Babaian, who took the most beautiful photos of Julia and Ian’s big day. He really captured the magic of the wedding, and we’re so grateful to have been able to share some of those images. The guests also shared some lovely shots, which we’re thrilled to include here.
