About Blooming Roza
Blooming Roza is a floristry and event styling business led by Maisie Golding-Cocozza. Every arrangement, every installation, begins with a love of flowers, seasonal movement, and the quiet beauty of nature.
My Story
I grew up in my grandparents’ home, where the garden and allotment shaped daily life. My nan taught me the Latin names of plants and flowers, not just for knowledge, but to help me notice their beauty. The kitchen and dining table were rarely clear, usually filled with cuttings, flower arrangements, and little projects in progress.
My nan was also a caterer, and from her I learned that the smallest details matter: how a table is set, how guests are welcomed, and how thoughtfulness turns ordinary moments into something memorable. These early experiences quietly shaped how I see the world and how I work with flowers and table design today.
After studying Drama, Multimedia, and Marketing, I spent some time in the corporate world. But no matter what I did, flowers and natural beauty were always calling to me. In 2022, I wanted something more meaningful and hands-on. What began as a small creative outlet soon grew into Blooming Roza, a business rooted in creativity, connection, and thoughtful design.
My love of flowers, combined with set design from my theatre background and my knowledge of business start-ups, led me to begin the Blooming Roza journey with one of the most talented florists and my closest friends, Judyta Austen. Her guidance, creativity, and support were invaluable in shaping both my skills and the early vision of the business.

The Meaning Behind the Name
Judy is one of my closest friends. We met while working at a holiday park to support ourselves through university. We both loved being creative and designing themed parties, and it was there that I first discovered Judy’s love for floristry, which was her second job. I loved learning from her, and we soon began working together on creative projects.
Blooming Roza takes its name from Róża, the Polish word for rose, reflecting my English heritage and Judy’s Polish roots. The name celebrates our friendship and represents growth, beauty, and the joy of flowers in bloom.

Developing My Style
Alongside hands-on experience, I took night courses at East Sussex College, refining my technique and exploring new ways to work with flowers. Over time, my style has grown naturally, loose, seasonal, textured, and guided by instinct. Every bouquet or installation is designed to feel alive, as if it belongs perfectly to the moment and the people it’s for.
As Blooming Roza grew and moved further into Sussex, Judy remained in Kent. Exciting new projects came her way, and it became a natural decision for me to take on sole ownership of the business, while Judy continues to collaborate on projects that inspire her. It’s wonderful that we still get to work together, and I’m grateful that her support and encouragement helped me reach a point where I was ready to spread my own wings in floristry.
Weddings, Celebrations & Life’s Moments
Weddings hold a special place in my work. As a former bride, I understand the emotion, anticipation, and excitement that come with planning such a meaningful day. I work closely with each couple to create designs that feel personal, intentional, and true to them. From bridal bouquets and ceremony installations to table styling and small details, every element is considered as part of a wider story.
Beyond weddings, Blooming Roza creates flowers for birthdays, anniversaries, proposals, baby showers, and all kinds of celebrations. Flowers are a way to mark moments with care, thoughtfulness, and beauty.
Event Styling
Before professional floristry became a big part of my life, I spent time planning and coordinating events, learning what it takes to bring a vision to life behind the scenes. From managing suppliers and timings to dressing spaces with a creative eye, I developed a love for combining logistics with aesthetics.
Event styling is now an integral part of the Blooming Roza service. I provide a full styling offering, including hire items, creating beautiful tablescapes, and designing complete environments that transform a space. Whether it’s a wedding, celebration, or special event, every element is considered so the flowers, décor, and setting work together to create a seamless and unforgettable experience.
Floristry for Every Special Moment
Flowers have a way of marking both the big milestones and the everyday moments that matter most. Blooming Roza creates florals for anniversaries, birthdays, thank yous, celebrations, and those “just because” gestures that don’t need a reason.
Alongside one-off orders, I also offer flower subscriptions, bringing seasonal blooms into homes and workplaces on a regular basis. Each arrangement is thoughtfully designed using flowers available at the time, allowing every delivery to feel fresh and considered.
I offer both local delivery and UK mainland postal delivery, making it easy to send flowers to loved ones near or far. Whether it’s a special date, a thoughtful surprise, or a regular delivery to brighten your space, every order is created with care and attention.

Having experienced personal loss myself, I can empathise with people going through similar moments in their own lives. I understand the complexity of grief and the challenge of trying to show love when words feel impossible.
I know how important a floral tribute can be when saying goodbye. Whether it’s a simple, elegant arrangement or something deeply personal, every funeral order is handled with care, compassion, and respect. It’s an honour to help families create meaningful goodbyes through flowers.

Blooming Roza is a small, independent studio. Every bouquet, arrangement, and event is made by hand with attention, care, and intention. For me, floristry is about connection, memory, and the quiet joy of flowers in our lives.
